Bangi Resort Hotel Honoured with Two ASEAN Records for Leadership in Durian Tourism

One of Malaysia’s most iconic institutions in agro-tourism and hospitality, Bangi Resort Hotel, has officially been recognized by ASEAN Records for its pioneering role in durian-based tourism and regional engagement. The resort received two prestigious record titles:

First Durian-Friendly Hotel & Resort Since 2018

The recognition was presented during the 5th ASEAN Records Gather of Achievers at Tee Off Lounge, Bangi Golf Resort, and was witnessed by YB Tuan Syahredzan bin Johan, Member of Parliament for Bangi.

Championing Innovation Through Durian Hospitality

By embracing the King of Fruits, the hotel has redefined luxury with a uniquely Malaysian twist — offering durian tastings and culinary experiences that blend comfort, culture, and cuisine. From leisure guests to business travellers, the resort provides immersive experiences that pay tribute to local flavours and traditions.

Further reinforcing its leadership, Bangi Resort Hotel also launched the first B2B durian-focused festival, bringing together traders, exporters, farmers, and agricultural professionals. This bold initiative created a dedicated business networking platform for durian stakeholders, reinforcing durian’s position not just as a delicacy, but as a driver of economic and agro-tourism value.
