ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Thousands of Years Media (ToYm) for achieving a significant regional milestone as the:

Most Fish Scale Collagen Jelly Tasting Participants at a Single Retail Outlet Opening Event Through Integrated Voucher Conversion Campaigns from Online and Offline Channels
(384 verified checked-in participants at the opening of the first ToYm Wardrobe physical store on 21 May 2026; including 52% via online conversion through ToYm Micro Drama Ads, short video and live streaming).

This recognition highlights ToYm’s ability to transform digital storytelling, short-form content, livestream engagement, and voucher-based campaigns into measurable offline retail participation—setting a new benchmark for integrated online-to-offline conversion in the ASEAN region.

Transforming Digital Engagement into Physical Retail Participation

The achievement was recorded during the opening of the first ToYm Wardrobe physical store, where integrated online and offline voucher conversion campaigns successfully generated 384 verified checked-in participants for the tasting of Dong Lin Fish Scale Collagen Jelly.

Notably, 52% of participants were converted through online channels, including ToYm Micro Drama Ads, short video content, live streaming, and digital engagement initiatives. This reflects ToYm’s strength in converting audience attention into real-world consumer participation.

The milestone also represents the continued expansion of the ToYm ecosystem—from micro dramas, films, livestreams, and digital platforms into physical retail, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brand experiences.

A Milestone Moment of Acknowledgement

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 22 May 2026 at ToYm Wardrobe, Bukit Jalil, marking the formal recognition of this achievement.

The recognition was received on stage by Datuk Wira Jment Lim, Founder of Thousands of Years Media, together with Nini Wong, Co-founder of Dong Lin and Health & Wellness Advocate, representing the leadership behind the campaign, retail activation, and product engagement strategy.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Datuk Wira Jment Lim shared:

“Receiving this ASEAN Records recognition is not just an achievement, but also a meaningful affirmation of our dedication and hard work throughout this journey. From the beginning, our team worked toward this goal, but until the result was officially confirmed, we did not dare to announce it too early.

This recognition belongs not only to the product, but to the entire team. Everyone worked tirelessly across online and offline promotion, event preparation, marketing, and on-site execution. Even if we had not achieved the record, I would still be proud after seeing the team give their best.

ASEAN is only the beginning. We hope to grow from Malaysia into the ASEAN market, and eventually gain recognition on the international stage.”

Nini Wong, Co-founder of Dong Lin Health & Wellness Advocate, added:

“This milestone reflects the power of combining wellness products with meaningful consumer experiences. Through Dong Lin Fish Scale Collagen Jelly, we hope to continue encouraging daily self-care, beauty confidence, and stronger connections with consumers through both digital and physical platforms.”

Hot FM Recognised by ASEAN Records for Highest Continuous Live Radio Broadcast from Merdeka 118

Hot FM Recognised by ASEAN Records for Highest Continuous Live Radio Broadcast from Merdeka 118

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Hot FM for achieving the milestone:

Highest Continuous Live Radio Broadcast from the World’s Second Tallest Building, Merdeka 118 (Level G to Spire Level 16; 566 m above ground; 4 hours 5 minutes uninterrupted; 4 announcers; 18 May 2026)

This recognition marks a major achievement in Malaysian broadcasting, showcasing Hot FM’s creativity, courage, and innovation in taking live radio beyond the studio and onto one of the world’s most iconic architectural landmarks.

Broadcasting Live from the Peak of Merdeka 118

On 18 May 2026, Hot FM created history through its special campaign, #BekpesHotTaklukMerdeka118, broadcasting live from Merdeka 118, Malaysia’s tallest building and the second tallest building in the world.

The broadcast took place from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, bringing listeners along the Bekpes Hot team’s journey across the upper levels of Merdeka 118, from Level 118 to Level 119, before reaching The Spire at 566 metres above ground.

Featuring Hot FM announcers Khairy Jamaluddin, Johan, Fara Fauzana, and AG Azmeer, the mission delivered an unforgettable live radio experience from different locations at the top of the iconic tower.

A Bold Challenge in Live Broadcasting

The achievement was made possible through close collaboration with PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Berhad, the owner of Merdeka 118, whose support played an important role in ensuring the mission was carried out smoothly and safely.

Unlike a conventional studio broadcast, the challenge required careful coordination, technical planning, and live transmission stability from one of the highest broadcast locations in the region.

The campaign formed part of Hot FM’s continued series of extreme and unconventional broadcast missions, following previous initiatives such as broadcasting from the ETS, Mount Kinabalu, underwater, and a 420-kilometre cycling journey from Alor Setar to Shah Alam.

Redefining Radio Beyond the Studio

#BekpesHotTaklukMerdeka118 reflects Hot FM’s commitment to creating content that is not only heard, but remembered.

The campaign showcased radio as more than an in-studio medium, positioning Hot FM as an entertainment brand capable of delivering bold, immersive, and meaningful experiences for listeners.

By combining live broadcasting, adventure, national pride, and one of Malaysia’s most recognisable landmarks, the initiative helped elevate local broadcasting while celebrating Merdeka 118 as a symbol of Malaysian achievement.

A Milestone Moment of Recognition

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 18 May 2026 at Merdeka 118, Kuala Lumpur.

The recognition was certified and received by Nazri Noran, Chief Executive Officer of Media Prima Audio, together with Hot FM radio personalities Khairy Jamaluddin, Johan, Fara Fauzana, AG Azmeer, and the entire Hot FM team, in acknowledgement of their achievement in advancing innovative live radio broadcasting in the region.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Nazri Noran, Chief Executive Officer of Media Prima Audio, shared:

“Merdeka 118 is one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks, and we saw it as the next challenge after our previous broadcasting achievements. After broadcasting from Mount Kinabalu and beneath the sea, we wanted to push ourselves further by taking live radio to the top of Malaysia’s tallest building.

This initiative took nearly a year of planning together with PNB Merdeka Ventures. There were many challenges involved, especially weather conditions, wind, lightning risks, and maintaining stable broadcast lines at such an extreme height.

At Hot FM, we believe broadcasting is more than being inside a studio. We want to continue creating experiences that are exciting, meaningful, and capable of inspiring Malaysians to challenge themselves and do something extraordinary.”

Advancing Innovation in Broadcasting

This milestone reflects the growing evolution of media and entertainment, where audience engagement increasingly extends beyond conventional formats.

By combining live broadcasting with adventure, technical execution, and national landmarks, Hot FM continues to set new benchmarks for creative radio engagement within ASEAN.

ASEAN Records nafi dakwaan salah guna nama ASEAN

ASEAN Records nafi dakwaan salah guna nama ASEAN

KUALA LUMPUR – ASEAN Records Sdn Bhd.

ASEAN Records claims its legal name has been approved by ASEAN and Malaysia

(Kuala Lumpur, 13th) ASEAN Record Sdn Bhd emphasized that the company is authorized by the ASEAN Secretariat and the Malaysian government to use “Asean” as its company name and to operate as an independent record certification platform.

The company’s two executive directors and chief forensic officers, Koo Chun-ming and Wong Tzu-ning, held a press conference today through Kepong DAP Youth Chief Cheah Chee-wei to clarify the allegations made against the company recently.

Huang Zining said that the company holds formal written approval from the ASEAN Secretariat to use the name “ASEAN”, document number CCAD/LSAD/UNA/2023/Vol.1/014, dated December 1, 2023, and signed by ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Home Affairs, Chen Deping. The approval letter has been formally countersigned and is still in effect.

She pointed out that the company also obtained Ministerial Approval under Section 27(3) of the Companies Act 2016, which allows it to use the gazetted word “ASEAN” in its company name. The relevant reference document number is P/S/2023/A/004396, dated November 14, 2023.

She emphasized that the company has never made any false statements, and since it was authorized by the ASEAN Secretariat in December 2023 to use “ASEAN” as its corporate identity and operate as a record certification platform, the company has been operating within the scope of the approval and has not received any notification of revocation, termination or modification of the approval.

“We respect the status of the ASEAN Secretariat as a regional intergovernmental body, while we are a commercial entity authorized to operate under the name ‘ASEAN’ and have never made any statements beyond that scope.”

She said that in order to protect the company’s reputation, record holders, and legitimate rights and interests in using the name “ASEAN,” the company will initiate necessary legal action.

“We saw the allegations on Sunday and filed a police report two days ago.”

Also present were members of the company’s legal team, including Dato’ Chang Yu Xiang, Wong Yuen Xuan, Wan Mohd Asong, and Datin Wen Qiao He.

Independent regional record certification platform

Gu Junming said that ASEAN Records Ltd. issues records as an independent regional record certification platform, not as an institution, organization or representative of the ASEAN Secretariat.

“This statement has remained consistent and unchanged in all our promotional materials, award ceremonies, and external communications since our inception.”

He pointed out that the company is an independent platform authorized to use the name “ASEAN” and has a proven track record of outstanding achievements at the ASEAN regional level.

He emphasized that the record was never claimed to have been issued directly by the ASEAN Secretariat.

ASEAN Records is a limited company legally established in our country. It operates as a paid certification platform, which is consistent with mature certification industry practices globally and regionally. Similar to other internationally recognized certification bodies, it conducts commercial operations while maintaining credibility.”

He said the company operates under a dual-approval system, demonstrating its legal and transparent operating foundation.

He pointed out that the recent accusations against the company were untrue.

“Our company holds the necessary approvals and supporting documentation to demonstrate our legal status and operation under the name ASEAN. These documents will be presented in due course after legal proceedings are initiated against the relevant responsible parties.”

He said that since its official launch on November 14, 2024, the company has awarded more than 250 ASEAN-level record certifications, held 9 award ceremonies with a total attendance of more than 1,500 people, and had senior government officials as record witnesses, including the Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, the Governor of Malacca and other senior officials, and has received hundreds of reports from mainstream media.
