Located in the heart of Melaka’s UNESCO World Heritage City, the Jonker Walk Heritage Zone is home to more than 1,000 pre-war shophouses that span an area of 332,310.32 square metres (≈33.23 hectares). These structures, featuring unique architectural styles and functions, line the streets at an average density of 15 shophouses per 100 metres — making it the densest known continuous stretch of its kind in the ASEAN region.

The innovative feature spans a total of 9,408 sq ft, comprising two retractable roof sets, each measuring 84 feet by 56 feet, as part of a cutting-edge integrated natural ventilation and air-conditioning system.
