ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise KLDEX for achieving a significant regional milestone as the:
First and Largest Integrated Durian Experience Destination
(20,451 sq ft facility including 3,746 sq ft exhibition gallery, 2,045 sq ft theatre with 120-pax seating, 23m × 2.5m art corridor, hosting 4 live performances per operating day, and 10,225 sq ft ground floor integrating fresh durian retail, F&B, gift, and cultural outlets).
This achievement reflects KLDEX’s commitment to showcasing Malaysia’s durian heritage through education, culture, tourism, and immersive visitor experiences, setting a new benchmark for integrated agrotourism destinations across the ASEAN region.
Celebrating Malaysia’s Durian Heritage Through Immersive Experiences
KLDEX was created as a one-stop destination where visitors can discover the stories behind Malaysia’s most celebrated fruit through exhibitions, live performances, guided tastings, and interactive learning experiences.

Combining a museum, theatre, cultural corridor, fresh durian retail, food and beverage outlets, gift shops, and orchard tourism experiences under one roof, KLDEX transforms the appreciation of durian into an educational and cultural journey.
The destination highlights the people, traditions, and agricultural heritage that have shaped Malaysia’s internationally recognised durian industry.
Elevating Durian Tourism as a National Cultural Experience
Beyond promoting Malaysia’s renowned durian varieties, KLDEX serves as a platform to preserve and document the country’s rich durian history while supporting farmers, tourism stakeholders, and local communities.

By integrating education, entertainment, gastronomy, and cultural storytelling, KLDEX strengthens Malaysia’s position as a leading culinary and tourism destination while contributing to the continued growth of durian tourism within the ASEAN region.

Ahead of its official launch, KLDEX welcomed renowned Hong Kong celebrity chef Chef Hugo Leung Man To (梁文韬) on 27 June 2026 for a preview of the integrated durian experience destination.
