Samurai 2K Aerosol Recognised by ASEAN Records for Achieving the Highest Number of Full-Body Car Resprays Using Aerosol Paint in a Single Event

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Samurai 2K Aerosol for achieving a remarkable regional milestone as the: Highest Number of Full-Body Car Resprays Using Aerosol Paint in a Single Event (30 Cars, Minimum 2 Participants per Car, 100% Aerosol Application, Completed Within 72 Hours).

This milestone showcases exceptional skill, speed, and teamwork—pushing the boundaries of what is typically possible in full-body automotive respraying using aerosol technology. Uniquely, the achievement was made possible through the active participation of passionate Samurai fans and spray enthusiasts from across the country, rather than professional body-shop painters alone.

Redefining What Aerosol Automotive Respraying Can Achieve

Conducted from 6 to 8 February 2026 at SIREH Park, Johor Bahru, the three-day challenge saw 30 vehicles undergo complete end-to-end respraying—from surface preparation to finishing—using 100% aerosol application within a strict 72-hour timeframe.

The event demonstrated that, when paired with structured workflows and proper techniques, aerosol-based solutions can deliver durable, full-body automotive finishes beyond conventional expectations. The use of Samurai 2K Aerosol, alongside patented technologies such as the Aero Gun and Tintatek colour-matching system, enabled consistent application quality, colour accuracy, and efficiency across all participating vehicles.

A Milestone Moment of Recognition

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 8 February 2026 at SIREH Park, Johor Bahru.

The recognition was received on stage by Assistant Manager, Samurai Service and Academy, Nurul Fateha Zainal, and Service Development Senior Executive, Ahmad Faiz Roslani, together with Assistant Group Manager Jack Lim, Chief Operation Officer Kelly Lim, Chief Executive Officer Ian Ong Yoke En, and the Samurai Paint team—acknowledging the collective leadership, technical execution, and community-driven effort behind this landmark achievement.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the achievement, Jack Lim, Assistant Group Manager of Samurai Paint, shared:

“This achievement marks a significant milestone for aerosol-based automotive finishing—an area traditionally dominated by compressor-driven spray systems in professional workshops. The record validates years of research and development aimed at redefining conventional automotive painting methods. More importantly, it demonstrates that aerosol technology can deliver durable, professional-grade full-body finishes at scale, while remaining accessible to automotive enthusiasts.”

Community, Innovation, and Responsibility

Unlike traditional industry demonstrations, this record attempt deliberately involved DIY participants and automotive enthusiasts, reinforcing Samurai 2K Aerosol’s commitment to skills development, accessibility, and community empowerment within the automotive scene.

In conjunction with the record achievement, 30 trees were planted at SIREH Park, symbolising Samurai Paint’s commitment to environmental responsibility alongside technological advancement.

Artsense Studio Recognised by ASEAN Records for Creating the Longest Hand-Painted Dragon Dance Artwork at a Children-and-Family Art Event

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Artsense Studio for achieving a meaningful cultural milestone as the: Longest Hand-Painted Dragon Dance Artwork Created at a Children-and-Family Art Event Led by a Cultural Creative Art Education Center (An 88-metre dragon painted on cloth, created by 118 children and their family members, with a total participation of 228 people)

This milestone was officially presented on 7 February 2026 at Sanctuary Mall, Kuala Lumpur, celebrating a powerful fusion of creativity, cultural heritage, and family participation.

Bringing Cultural Heritage to Life Through Collective Creativity

Artsense Studio has distinguished itself as a cultural creative art education centre dedicated to nurturing creativity, cultural appreciation, and holistic development in children through experiential learning.

The ASEAN Records–recognised initiative brought together children and their parents to collaboratively hand-paint an 88-metre dragon artwork inspired by traditional dragon dance heritage. Rather than focusing solely on artistic output, the programme emphasised participation, learning, and shared experience—transforming art creation into a collective cultural journey.

By engaging 118 children alongside their family members, the initiative demonstrated how cultural traditions can be sustained and reinterpreted through inclusive, community-driven creative education that bridges generations.

A Community-Centred Art Experience in Action

Held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the event unfolded through a structured programme that guided participants from registration and briefing to collaborative painting sessions. Children and parents worked side by side to complete different segments of the dragon artwork, while photography and video documentation captured the creative process and interactions throughout the day.

Upon completion, the painted sections were assembled into a single continuous dragon, followed by a dragon parade around the mall perimeter, allowing the artwork to be presented as a living cultural expression rather than a static display.

The successful completion of the artwork was formally announced on-site by ASEAN Records representatives, marking the culmination of a vibrant, family-oriented cultural celebration.

A Milestone Moment of Recognition

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 7 February 2026 at Sanctuary Mall, Kuala Lumpur.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Shawn Yap Chun Siong, Founder & CEO of Artsense Studio, shared:

“This recognition is deeply meaningful to us because it reflects what Artsense Studio stands for—using art as a bridge between children, families, and cultural heritage.

Seeing children and parents come together to create something rooted in tradition reminds us that culture is best preserved through participation, not observation. This milestone encourages us to continue creating platforms where creativity, learning, and family connection grow side by side.”

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Art and Heritage

This achievement reflects more than scale—it underscores the role of creative education in preserving cultural heritage while making it relevant to younger generations.

By placing children and families at the heart of the artistic process, Artsense Studio has demonstrated how cultural traditions can be passed on through participation rather than observation alone. The ASEAN Records recognition highlights the growing importance of community-based cultural programmes that foster creativity, inclusivity, and shared cultural identity across ASEAN.
