ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur – Sistem Tempahan Automasi Reruai (PBAKL-STAR), managed by Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia (MBKM) under the Ministry of Education Malaysia together with the Malaysian Book Industry Chamber (MBIC), for achieving the milestone:

First Government-Initiated Real-Time Interactive & Automated Booth Reservation Portal for an International Book Fair (426 exhibitors onboarded since 2025; 1,812 booths digitally tendered across two editions since December 2024)

This recognition highlights a significant advancement in digital event management and public sector innovation, demonstrating how technology can enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within large-scale international exhibitions. Developed and managed through the PBAKL-STAR initiative, the platform has transformed how exhibitors participate in Malaysia’s premier international book fair through a streamlined and fully digital booth reservation process.

Transforming International Book Fair Management Through Digital Innovation

As the organiser of the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur – PBAKL), Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia (MBKM) introduced a real-time interactive and automated booth reservation portal designed to modernise the exhibitor registration and booth allocation process.

Traditionally, booth applications and allocations for large-scale exhibitions often involved manual coordination, extensive paperwork, and lengthy processing periods. The introduction of the digital portal has streamlined these processes through an integrated online system that enables exhibitors to view available spaces, submit applications, and participate in booth selection and allocation more efficiently.

The platform has successfully onboarded 426 exhibitors and digitally tendered 1,812 booths across two editions of PBAKL since December 2024, representing a major milestone in the digital transformation of exhibition management.

Supporting Malaysia’s Largest International Book Fair

The digital reservation system plays an important role in supporting the continued growth of the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair, one of the region’s most prominent literary and publishing events.

PBAKL serves as a platform that brings together publishers, authors, booksellers, educators, readers, and industry stakeholders from Malaysia and abroad. The event celebrates reading, knowledge sharing, lifelong learning, and the development of a vibrant literary ecosystem.

Through a diverse range of book exhibitions, educational programmes, workshops, forums, book launches, storytelling sessions, cultural performances, and interactive experiences, PBAKL continues to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for publishing and literacy development.

Enhancing Transparency and Accessibility for Exhibitors

The implementation of a real-time automated reservation portal has helped create a more transparent and efficient exhibitor experience.

By digitising booth applications and allocations, exhibitors are able to access information more easily while benefiting from improved visibility, reduced administrative complexity, and faster communication throughout the booking process.

The initiative reflects MBKM’s commitment to embracing digital solutions that improve stakeholder engagement while supporting the evolving needs of the publishing and exhibition industries.

This year’s book fair welcomed more than 2.4 million visitors, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for reading, learning, and knowledge sharing among Malaysians. At the same time, initiatives such as the Malaysia Book Voucher Programme continue to show strong impact in encouraging reading habits while supporting the local publishing ecosystem.

We are also encouraged to see Malaysian publications gaining greater international recognition and reaching new markets abroad. These achievements strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional centre for publishing, literacy development, and knowledge exchange.

The adoption of digital innovations, including the automated booth reservation portal introduced by Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia, reflects how technology can enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility while supporting the continued growth of the publishing industry.”

Driving the Future of Digital Event Management

As exhibitions and large-scale events continue to evolve, digital solutions are becoming increasingly important in ensuring operational efficiency and stakeholder engagement.

The successful implementation of an automated, real-time booth reservation platform demonstrates how government-led innovation can modernise traditional event management processes while delivering tangible benefits to exhibitors and organisers alike.

This achievement reinforces Malaysia’s position as a leader in digital transformation within the publishing and exhibition sectors and establishes a new benchmark for international book fair management across the ASEAN region.

Two presenters pose on a stage holding a framed ASEAN Records award, smiling with a festive backdrop behind them.

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise EXP Fishing for achieving a significant regional milestone as the:

Largest Specialist Soft Frog Brand
(2,088,631 units sold from 2021–2025; 659 SKUs across colour and size variants in 4 dedicated series; 672 authorised dealers nationwide; customers across 5 countries; brand established 2015).

This milestone reflects EXP Fishing’s strong market influence, product specialisation, and contribution to the growth of soft frog lure fishing culture across the ASEAN region.

Transforming Soft Frog Lure Fishing Through Innovation

Established in 2015, EXP Fishing entered the market at a time when snakehead fishing in Southeast Asia was still largely dominated by traditional live bait.

Instead of following conventional trends, the brand focused on an overlooked segment — soft frog lures — and committed itself to product innovation, field testing, and market education.

Through continuous research and development, EXP Fishing refined its soft frog lure designs to deliver practical performance for real anglers, helping shift fishing habits and build greater confidence in lure-based techniques.

Building a Specialist Brand with Regional Influence

From 2021 to 2025, EXP Fishing recorded 2,088,631 soft frog lure units sold, supported by 659 SKUs across colour and size variants in four dedicated series.

With 672 authorised dealers nationwide and customers across 5 countries, the brand has built a strong community of anglers who value performance, accessibility, and product reliability.

This achievement demonstrates how a Malaysian fishing brand can grow from a focused product category into a recognised specialist name with influence across Southeast Asia.

A Milestone Moment of Acknowledgement

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 6 June 2026 at Taman Tasik Metropolitan in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, marking the formal recognition of EXP Fishing’s record achievement.

The recognition was received on stage by Mr. Junn Ng, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EXP Fishing, representing the leadership, innovation, and community-building efforts behind this regional milestone.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Mr. Junn Ng, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EXP Fishing, shared:

“The journey of EXP Fishing has never been easy. Along the way, we were underestimated many times, but we continued to believe in innovation and our commitment to producing the best products.

Our goal is not only to sell fishing products, but to drive the fishing culture in Southeast Asia. This recognition proves that more anglers are embracing soft frog lures, and that is the achievement we are most proud of.

For us, this milestone is not the final destination — it is a new starting point for EXP Fishing to continue innovating, educating the market, and bringing a Malaysian local brand to a larger stage.”

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Zoey’s Homemade for achieving the milestone:

Most Designed Cartoon-Shaped Buns Produced by a Mother-Led Production Team, Made with Healthy Formulations (300 designs, all with no added colouring, no added preservatives, no added additives)

This recognition celebrates an extraordinary achievement in children’s food innovation, recognising how a mother-led team transformed a simple mission of encouraging healthier eating habits into a trusted Malaysian brand known for creativity, nutrition, and child-friendly food products.

From a Home Kitchen to a Recognised Children’s Food Brand

Zoey’s Homemade was founded on a simple belief: healthy food should be both nutritious and enjoyable for children.

Like many parents, the team behind the brand recognised the challenges of encouraging children to embrace healthier food choices. Rather than viewing healthy eating as a struggle, they saw an opportunity to make nutritious food more appealing through creativity, innovation, and thoughtful food design.

What began as handcrafted cartoon-shaped buns prepared from a home kitchen gradually evolved into a growing children’s healthy food brand. Today, Zoey’s Homemade offers a diverse range of products including cartoon-shaped buns, children’s chicken-based food products, healthy snacks, and other child-friendly food innovations.

Combining Creativity with Healthy Nutrition

The ASEAN Records recognition reflects years of continuous product innovation and dedication to creating healthier food experiences for children.

The brand remains committed to using natural ingredients and incorporating fruits and vegetables into its products. All products are made without added colouring, added preservatives, or added additives, providing families with healthier food choices they can trust.

Launch of Malaysia’s First Child-Friendly Cartoon Bun Factory Moving Towards Halal Certification

In conjunction with the ASEAN Records presentation ceremony, Zoey’s Homemade also celebrated another major milestone with the launch of Malaysia’s first child-friendly cartoon bun factory moving towards Halal certification.

The new facility represents an important step in the company’s transition from home-based production to a more professional, scalable, and standardised operation.

Designed to support future growth, the factory will strengthen production capacity, food safety standards, quality assurance systems, and operational efficiency, while enabling the company to meet growing demand from both domestic and international markets.

The company is also actively working towards Halal certification as part of its long-term vision to make its products accessible to a broader consumer base across diverse communities and export markets.

The ASEAN Records recognition was later re-presented during Zoey’s Homemade’s official celebration and factory launch event on 6 June 2026, where industry leaders, business partners, shareholders, customers, and invited guests gathered to commemorate the milestone and witness the launch of Malaysia’s first child-friendly cartoon bun factory moving towards Halal certification.

Reflecting on the recognition, Jamie Lim, Founder of Zoey’s Homemade, shared:

“This milestone is more than an expansion of our production capacity. It represents our commitment to bringing healthier, safer, and more creative food products to more families.

With the launch of our child-friendly cartoon bun factory, we are entering a new chapter of growth. Moving forward, we will continue investing in research and development, incorporating more natural ingredients, fruits, vegetables, and essential nutrients into our products to support children’s growth and wellbeing.

Elexer Holding Recognised by ASEAN Records for Advancing Rechargeable Battery Innovation with Built-In USB-C Charging

Six professionals in suits on a stage presenting a framed award plaque.

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Elexer Holding for achieving the milestone:

First Lithium-Ion Battery Brand with Built-In USB-C Charging and 365-Day Warranty Across AA, AAA, 9V, and D Sizes (rechargeable up to 1,000 times per cell; AA and AAA launched December 2024; 9V launched December 2025; D size launched April 2026)

This recognition highlights a significant advancement in consumer battery technology, demonstrating how innovation, convenience, performance, and sustainability can be integrated into everyday energy solutions.

Redefining Rechargeable Battery Convenience

Elexer Holding introduced a new generation of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries designed with built-in USB-C charging capability, eliminating the need for traditional external charging docks and simplifying the charging process for everyday users.

The batteries also feature an integrated internal battery management circuit together with LED charging indicators, allowing users to monitor charging progress more conveniently and safely.

The product range covers multiple commonly used battery sizes, including AA, AAA, 9V, and D batteries, enabling users to recharge batteries directly through USB-C connectivity for greater convenience and accessibility.

This innovation reflects the growing demand for simplified charging ecosystems aligned with modern consumer technology standards.

Supporting Sustainability Through Long-Term Reusability

Designed for repeated long-term use, each battery is capable of being recharged up to 1,000 times per cell, significantly reducing disposable battery waste and helping address the growing environmental impact associated with single-use battery disposal.

The rechargeable lithium-ion design also offers enhanced battery capacity, lower flammability, and improved efficiency compared to conventional disposable battery usage models.

In addition, the product line is backed by a 365-day warranty, reinforcing confidence in product durability, reliability, and quality assurance.

The gradual rollout of the product series — with AA and AAA batteries launched in December 2024, 9V batteries in December 2025, and D-size batteries in April 2026 — reflects Elexer Holding’s continuous expansion within the rechargeable battery market.

Driving Innovation in Everyday Consumer Technology

As portable electronics, smart devices, and rechargeable ecosystems continue to grow globally, battery innovation plays an increasingly important role in improving user convenience and reducing environmental impact.

By integrating direct USB-C charging into multiple battery formats, Elexer Holding simplifies the charging experience while aligning with the wider transition towards universal charging standards.

Another key feature of Elexer’s lithium-ion battery technology is its constant voltage output, designed to maintain a stable 1.5V output until near the end of battery life. Unlike conventional alkaline batteries, which experience a gradual step-down voltage decline over time, Elexer batteries deliver more consistent performance and help maximise usable battery capacity. This reduces the likelihood of devices underperforming when voltage drops below practical operating levels, a common limitation associated with conventional alkaline batteries.

This achievement positions the company as an innovator within the consumer energy solutions sector across the ASEAN region.

A Milestone Moment of Recognition

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 27 April 2026 during the 9th ASEAN Records Gather of Achievers.

The recognition was certified and received by Neolee, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Elexer Holding, together with Lean Su Pheng, Commercial Director, in acknowledgement of their leadership in advancing innovation and sustainability within the rechargeable battery industry.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Neolee shared:

“This recognition reflects our commitment to developing practical innovations that improve everyday user experience while supporting more sustainable energy consumption.

By integrating USB-C charging directly into rechargeable battery formats, together with smart charging indicators and internal battery management systems, we wanted to simplify the way people power and recharge their devices while making battery usage safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

At the same time, we aim to reduce reliance on disposable batteries by offering longer-lasting and reusable alternatives that can better support the future of consumer technology.”

Advancing Sustainable Consumer Energy Solutions

This milestone underscores the growing importance of convenience, sustainability, performance, and product integration within the consumer electronics ecosystem.

As rechargeable technology becomes increasingly essential in daily life, innovations that simplify usage while reducing environmental waste contribute towards a more sustainable future.

Elexer Holding’s achievement reflects how practical technological advancements can reshape everyday products while setting new benchmarks for innovation in ASEAN.

About Elexer Holding

Elexer Holding is a technology-focused company specialising in rechargeable energy solutions and consumer battery innovation.

The company develops lithium-ion rechargeable batteries designed to combine convenience, reliability, performance, and sustainability through modern charging technologies and long-term usability. Through continuous innovation, Elexer Holding aims to deliver smarter energy solutions that support evolving consumer needs across the region.

ASEAN is only the beginning. We hope to grow from Malaysia into the ASEAN market, and eventually gain recognition on the international stage.”

Nini Wong, Co-founder of Dong Lin Health & Wellness Advocate, added:

“This milestone reflects the power of combining wellness products with meaningful consumer experiences. Through Dong Lin Fish Scale Collagen Jelly, we hope to continue encouraging daily self-care, beauty confidence, and stronger connections with consumers through both digital and physical platforms.”
