Exceeding Standard Requirements Across Three Critical Tests
Broadlink Marketing Sdn Bhd, through its reTOUCH brand, achieved a significant milestone with its BS 1363 13A double-pole socket, recording SIRIM-verified test results beyond the specified standard requirements in fire resistance, electrical strength and plug endurance.
In the glow-wire test, the socket achieved 960°C compared with the 850°C standard, demonstrating its ability to withstand a higher test temperature.
For electrical strength, the product withstood 4kV a.c. dielectric strength for one minute, exceeding the stated 2kV standard requirement.
In plug endurance testing, the socket completed 69,400 plug cycles compared with the 15,000-cycle standard, reflecting its performance under repeated insertion and withdrawal.
Together, these documented results establish the measurable basis for reTOUCH’s ASEAN Records recognition.
