In a milestone that highlights innovation and experiential engagement in the automotive industry, the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), in collaboration with Moonman Event, has officially been recognized by ASEAN Records for organizing: ASEAN’s Largest Outdoor Obstacle Test Drive Zone at an Autoshow Achievement: 5.1 Kilometers of Purpose-Built Obstacle Trail
The prestigious certificate presentation was held on-site during the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, with the record formally presented to Mr. Azrul Reza Aziz, CEO of MARii, and witnessed by YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, alongside key industry leaders, innovators, and dignitaries from across the ASEAN region.

A Milestone in Experiential Automotive Innovation
The 5.1-kilometer test drive zone stands as the longest obstacle-based outdoor test drive trail ever established at an automotive exhibition in ASEAN. Designed to simulate various real-world driving scenarios, this immersive trail enabled participants to test a wide range of electric and hybrid vehicles under diverse terrain and mobility conditions.
The initiative showcases Malaysia’s leadership in promoting interactive and educational automotive showcases while supporting ASEAN’s broader goals of sustainable mobility, consumer engagement, and automotive excellence.
