ASEAN Records Recognizes the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) for Hosting the Region’s Longest-Running Annual Franchise Exhibition

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognize the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) with the prestigious ASEAN Record for: “ASEAN’s Longest-Running Annual Franchise Exhibition – 32 Editions Since 1994”

This historic accolade was presented on 7th May 2025 during the Networking Dinner of the ASEAN Franchise Convention 2025 (AFC2025), held at the Diamond Ballroom, Level G, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The ASEAN Record was awarded in the esteemed presence of YB Datuk Ewon Benedick, Malaysia’s Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), who officiated the ceremony as Guest of Honour.

Organized annually without fail since 1994, the Malaysia International Franchise Exhibition (FIM) has firmly established itself as a landmark event in ASEAN’s franchising industry. In collaboration with KUSKOP, MFA’s consistent efforts in promoting entrepreneurship, expanding regional franchise networks, and strengthening Malaysia’s role as a franchise hub in ASEAN have been instrumental in shaping the sector’s success.

The exhibition, now in its 32nd edition, will officially run from 8th – 10th May 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), gathering top franchise brands, potential investors, and business leaders from across the ASEAN region.

“This record is not just about longevity. It represents decades of dedication, resilience, and progressive leadership in ASEAN’s franchise ecosystem,” said Datuk Dr Radzali Bin Hassan, Chaiman or MFA

ASEAN Records congratulates MFA for this momentous achievement and applauds the association’s continued contribution to economic empowerment and regional excellence.
