The M2M number plate, displayed on a flagship Omoda Jaecoo model, brings the total valuation of the test-drive experience to over RM600,000 (Approx. USD140,000)— making it the most luxurious test-drive experience in ASEAN to date.
The Meaning Behind the “MM” Plate
The “MM” registration is part of the special “M_M” series introduced by JPJ (Malaysian Road Transport Department) to commemorate Malaysia Merdeka (National Day) in 2023.
Initially released as a patriotic series symbolising national unity and pride, the M_M plates quickly became some of the most sought-after vehicle registrations in the country. Following overwhelming demand, JPJ later released the remaining numbers via the MySikap portal for the public to acquire — a move that collectively generated over RM 20 million in bids nationwide.
