Spanning February 2023 to March 2026, the achievement reflects the sustained market performance of successive generations of the HONOR X9 Series within Malaysia’s competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
The recognition also highlights HONOR’s continued development of the series around evolving consumer priorities, particularly durability, battery performance, display technology and after-sales protection.
Three Consecutive Years of Mid-Range Market Performance
The HONOR X9 Series maintained its position as Malaysia’s No. 1 best-selling mid-range smartphone series for three consecutive years, according to HONOR.
The milestone reflects the sustained performance of successive generations within the series, beginning with the HONOR X9 in Malaysia in 2022 and continuing through subsequent generations including the HONOR X9a, X9b, X9c and X9d.
Across the certified period from February 2023 to March 2026, the series reached a peak market share of 77%, with the HONOR X9d contributing to the latest stage of the series’ market performance.
The achievement demonstrates the continued consumer demand that has supported the HONOR X9 Series across multiple product generations rather than through the performance of a single device.
Evolving Around Durability, Battery Life and Consumer Needs
HONOR attributes the continued evolution of the X9 Series to understanding the core requirements of consumers and translating those needs into each new generation.
This direction continues with the HONOR X9e Pro, which places particular emphasis on durability. The device is designed to withstand drops of up to 3 metres, carries an SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance in Harsh Conditions certification, and features IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K water and dust resistance. HONOR also states that the device supports water resistance at depths of up to 10 metres under specified controlled test conditions.
Battery performance represents another major upgrade. The HONOR X9e Pro features an 11,000mAh battery, complemented by 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W reverse wired charging, allowing the smartphone to provide power to compatible external devices.
The device also features an ultra-bright display capable of reaching 10,000 nits peak brightness, extending the series’ focus beyond physical resilience to visibility and everyday usability.
Extending Protection Beyond the Smartphone
HONOR’s strategy for the X9 Series also extends beyond hardware specifications into after-sales support.
Through HONOR Rakyat Care+, the HONOR X9e Pro comes with 730-day front and back crack protection and 730-day liquid damage protection, addressing common concerns surrounding accidental damage.
The protection programme complements the physical durability engineered into the smartphone, reflecting HONOR’s approach of combining stronger hardware with additional support throughout the ownership experience.
Together, these measures are designed to give consumers greater peace of mind when choosing and using their devices.

ASEAN Records recognition was officially presented on 24 September 2026 at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown.
The recognition was received on stage by Ethan Chen, CEO of HONOR Malaysia, representing HONOR and the team behind the sustained performance of the HONOR X9 Series in Malaysia.

Continuing the X9 Series with the HONOR X9e Pro
Building on the achievement of the HONOR X9 Series, the HONOR X9e Pro introduces a new generation of upgrades focused on durability, battery endurance, display technology and consumer protection.
The smartphone is available in four colourways: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black.
In Malaysia, the 256GB model is priced at RM1,899, while the 512GB model is priced at RM2,399.
During the pre-order period from 24 September to 8 October 2026, customers purchasing the HONOR X9e Pro can receive gifts and benefits valued at up to RM1,626, including an HONOR Pad X7, RM100 instant rebate, HONOR Rakyat Care+ and a one-year extended warranty, subject to the applicable campaign terms and availability.
