HONOR Recognised by ASEAN Records for First Humanoid Robot to Complete a 10-Kilometre Public Road Run and March in a National Day Parade

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise HONOR for achieving a significant regional milestone as the:

First Humanoid Robot to Complete a 10-Kilometre Public Road Run and March in a National Day Parade
(open road course, 30 August 2026; Malaysia’s National Day Parade, 31 August 2026).

This achievement highlights HONOR’s advancement in humanoid robotics, demonstrating endurance, mobility, and real-world performance across two major public events in Malaysia.

From Marathon Route to National Parade

The record was achieved over two consecutive days during Malaysia’s Merdeka weekend.

On 30 August 2026, HONOR’s self-developed humanoid robot, the HONOR Robotics D1, made its first public appearance outside China at the Malaysia Marathon 2026. Setting off from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the robot completed a 10-kilometre open-road course on its own two legs, testing its stability, battery endurance, and sustained mobility under real-world outdoor conditions.

Less than a day later, on 31 August 2026, the HONOR Robotics D1 joined Malaysia’s National Day Parade in Putrajaya, marching on its own legs before a large public audience.

Together, the two appearances demonstrated how humanoid robotics can move beyond controlled environments and participate in large-scale public settings.

Malaysia as HONOR Robotics D1’s First Overseas Stage

Malaysia was chosen as the first overseas destination for the HONOR Robotics D1, marking an important chapter in the robot’s development beyond China.

Its consecutive appearances at the Malaysia Marathon and National Day Parade also represented HONOR’s first participation in Malaysia’s national-level Merdeka celebrations.

The milestone reflects HONOR’s continued focus on bringing advanced technology into real-world environments while strengthening its connection with Malaysian consumers.

A Milestone Moment of Acknowledgement

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 31 August 2026 at the Merdeka Parade in Putrajaya, marking the formal recognition of HONOR’s record achievement.

The recognition was received on stage by Ethan Chen, Deputy Country Director of HONOR Malaysia, representing the team behind HONOR’s humanoid robotics development and its landmark public debut in Malaysia.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Ethan Chen, Deputy Country Director of HONOR Malaysia, shared:

“Malaysia is an important market for HONOR. With a strong market foundation, the HONOR X9 Series continues to lead the mid-range smartphone segment and has become a ‘Top Choice of Malaysians.’

Choosing Malaysia as the first international destination for the debut of our humanoid robot reflects not only our appreciation for the Malaysian market, but also the country’s strategic importance to HONOR.

We will continue bringing the latest technologies to Malaysia and remain committed to moving forward together with Malaysian consumers as we build a smarter future.”
