Kluang TV Coffee Recognised by ASEAN Records for Becoming the Most Visited State-Certified Heritage Coffee Factory in a Year

ASEAN Records is proud to officially recognise Kluang Coffee Powder Factory Sdn Bhd, widely known as Kluang TV Coffee, for achieving the milestone, as the: Most Visited State-Certified Heritage Coffee Factory in a Year (91,056 Visitors Recorded in 2025, certified by Tourism Johor)

This landmark recognition coincides with Kluang TV Coffee’s 60th anniversary, affirming the brand’s enduring role in preserving Malaysia’s coffee heritage while establishing itself as a leading destination for state-certified industrial and cultural tourism in Johor.

Preserving Coffee Heritage Through Public Engagement

Founded in 1966 in Kluang, Johor, Kluang TV Coffee was built on a strong commitment to traditional Nanyang-style coffee and hand-roasting methods that preserve the authentic taste generations of Malaysians grew up with. From its early beginnings supplying local kopitiams, the brand has grown into a household name with distribution across retail stores, supermarkets, and major e-commerce platforms nationwide.

What sets Kluang TV Coffee apart is its decision to open its working factory to the public. Unlike conventional coffee factories focused solely on production, Kluang TV Coffee invites visitors to observe the roasting and processing stages up close, learn about coffee bean origins and blends, and experience the finished product through on-site tasting—bridging production, education, and experience in one location.

Between January and December 2025, the factory recorded 91,056 registered visitors, a figure officially certified and endorsed by Tourism Johor. These recorded figures are based on documented group and tour visits, indicating that total footfall—including walk-in families and individual visitors—is likely even higher. This sustained public interest highlights the factory’s role as one of Johor’s most visited heritage tourism attractions.

The ASEAN Records recognition affirms Kluang TV Coffee’s contribution to heritage preservation, cultural tourism, and public education through an operational, living factory environment.

A Landmark Moment of Recognition and Endorsed Significance

The ASEAN Records certificate was officially presented on 22 January 2026 at Kluang Coffee Powder Factory Sdn Bhd, in conjunction with the brand’s 60th anniversary celebration.

The certificate was proudly received by Goh Yong Kian, Chief Executive Officer of Kluang TV Coffee, together with Goh Tian Hock, Managing Director, recognising their leadership in sustaining and growing a heritage brand across generations.

The presentation was witnessed by:

  • Puan Azlina Binti Mad Dom, representing the Kluang District Agriculture Office
  • Encik Mohammad Nazrul bin Abdul Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor
  • Yang Berbahagia Puan Hajah Azurawati Binti Wahid, District Officer of Kluang

In addition, the achievement received formal endorsement from the Johor State Legislative Assembly (ADUN Mengkibol), recognising Kluang TV Coffee’s verified visitor records and its contribution to heritage preservation, cultural tourism, and traditional coffee craftsmanship in Johor.

On the same day, Kluang TV Coffee also conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for factory expansion, marking a new phase of development aimed at improving production efficiency and visitor experience while remaining rooted in traditional hand-roasting practices.

Voices of Leadership

Reflecting on the recognition, Goh Yong Kian, Chief Executive Officer of Kluang TV Coffee, shared:

“This recognition by ASEAN Records is a meaningful validation of what makes Kluang TV Coffee different. While many coffee factories focus solely on production, we chose to open our doors to the public—so visitors can not only enjoy coffee, but also understand how it is made.

Here, people can see the roasting and processing stages, learn about the coffee beans we use and where they come from, and then experience the taste for themselves. Recording over 91,000 registered visitors in a year is strong proof of public interest, and the actual number is likely even higher.

This recognition affirms our commitment to preserving traditional coffee craftsmanship while embracing responsible growth for the future.”
