Persatuan Amal Semangat Semut (PASS) has officially been recognised by ASEAN Records for organising the First and Largest Nationwide Anti-Scam Movie Awareness Campaign for Orphanages, in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). The initiative successfully brought 1,010 orphan participants to cinemas nationwide between May and November 2024 to watch Malaysia’s first anti-scam film, OPPA.
This milestone marks a historic first in Malaysia — and across ASEAN — for combining charitable outreach, scam awareness education, and national police collaboration into a single impactful campaign.
A Milestone in Scam Awareness and Social Impact
The campaign, launched under the antNERGY Anti-Scam Awareness Marathon, was aimed at raising scam prevention awareness among vulnerable communities, particularly orphans and underprivileged youth. By engaging them through film, the programme delivered vital lessons on fraud prevention in a relatable and accessible format.
The official ASEAN Records certificate was presented during the launch of propFEST2026 & Anti-Scam Awareness Marathon 2.0, where PASS Founding President Dr. Stable Lai and propJECT Berhad Founder & CEO Dareal Kho
