A Vision Built Over Two Decades

Established over 20 years ago, YELAOSHR has become a trailblazer in trilingual personalized education, combining Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia in one-on-one learning formats for children aged 3 to 12. Its curriculum is rooted in the Finnish model of child-centric education, supported by digital learning tools and a strong parent-engagement framework.

With recognition by global education platform HundrED, YELAOSHR has demonstrated how a Malaysian-born education system can scale internationally while maintaining measurable excellence in student outcomes.

What began as a single classroom has now become a movement — with over 60 centres across Malaysia, thousands of passionate educators, and tens of thousands of children who have discovered the joy of learning through our trilingual one-on-one model. said Dr. David Yap Wing Fai, Co-Founder of YELAOSHR.
Many years ago, we started this journey with a simple dream — to help children who have problems in school. Some students cannot read well. Some feel scared. Some have low confidence. We wanted to help them. So, we created a different way of teaching — more patient, more caring, and easier to understand. said Dr. Carol Yap, Co-Founder of YELAOSHR.

Celebrating Educational Impact

From just a single centre to over 110,000 students served and a record-setting 66 MOAs acknowledged in one day, YELAOSHR’s journey is a reflection of its long-term educational relevance, scalability, and commitment to personalized growth.

This shows courage and readiness. And most importantly, it shows belief in the strength of its mission: to bring inclusive, high-quality learning to every child, regardless of background.” said Datuk Dr. Radzali bin Hassan, during his keynote address.

With this dual recognition, YELAOSHR joins a distinguished community of changemakers, reinforcing Malaysia’s leading role in the global conversation around innovative, inclusive, and impactful education.
