The Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association (MFMA) has officially been recognized by ASEAN Records for an extraordinary 12-year achievement, marking the Longest Consecutive and Highest Number of National Participants Competing and Winning in International Footwear Design Competitions, proudly championed by a national association from 2013 to 2024.
The certificate presentation took place during the IFC Appreciation Dinner held on 24 July 2025 at Wira Ballroom, Level 2, in Kuala Lumpur. The celebration was attended by esteemed dignitaries, member countries from the Council of International Fashion Associations (CIFA), and key players in the regional fashion and design ecosystem.

The record was presented to Ms. Michelle Kok, Organising Chairman, and Ms. Rachel Foo, President of MFMA.
“This recognition marks a proud moment for Malaysia and for our designers. For over a decade, we’ve nurtured creativity, encouraged innovation, and shown that our talents can compete — and win — on the world stage,” said Michelle Kok.
“Our journey is built on collaboration, mentorship, and a shared belief that Malaysian design belongs on the global platform. This ASEAN Record isn’t just an achievement — it’s a symbol of our commitment to the future of fashion and footwear,” added Rachel Foo.
