De Angels Event Management, founded and led by Bibi Chang, has been officially recognised by ASEAN Records for achieving the milestone title: “Longest-Running Annual Disability-Inclusive Charity Initiatives, Including a Fashion Runway Series with the Largest OKU and Cross-Community Participation, Founded and Led by an OKU since 2016.”
Over the past decade, Bibi Chang’s Shape Me Up series has united persons with disabilities (OKU), volunteers, designers, and members of the public in a historic celebration of inclusivity, empowerment, and compassion — making it Malaysia’s first and only long-running charity event of its kind.

A Journey of Empowerment and Inclusion (2016–2025)
The inaugural Inclusivity Charity Fashion Show (2016) featured a groundbreaking lineup of elderly participants, orphans, transgender individuals, HIV-positive persons, and five OKU models — setting the foundation for a decade-long movement for inclusive empowerment.
Highlights over the years include:
- 2017 – “The Sky’s The Limit”: 18 orphans, 15 OKU, and 5 local artists took to the runway.
- 2018 – Asia Spinal Cord Injury Beauty & Warrior Pageant (Taiwan): 7 Malaysians with spinal cord injuries represented the nation alongside 7 volunteers.
- 2019 – “NOW D’Greatest Show”: 20 children with cerebral palsy walked the runway with volunteers’ support.
- 2020–2023 – Community Relief Efforts: During the pandemic and floods, De Angels led food and aid distributions to OKU homes, including Sri Muda, Shah Alam (2021).
- 2021 – “Love & Care 50 Mother’s Day Campaign”: 1,000 gift sets were sold, employing single mothers, dialysis patients, and OKU individuals.
- 2022 – Christmas Gift Campaign: Benefited 15 single mothers with financial aid.
- 2023 – Wesak Day Rice Distribution: 1,000 food packs distributed by children volunteers.
- 2024 – Vegetarian Meal & Mooncake Drive: Provided meals to underprivileged families.
- 2025 – “Shape Me Up” Disability Runway Show: The grandest edition yet — featuring OKU models, Malaysian artists, and community ambassadors in a celebration of confidence and solidarity

“As an OKU myself, I wanted to build a platform where every individual, regardless of ability, can shine. This recognition belongs to every participant, volunteer, and supporter who believes that inclusivity is not a concept — it’s a community.”
A First in ASEAN’s Event and Charity Landscape
The ASEAN Records recognition highlights De Angels’ pioneering role in promoting diversity, accessibility, and social inclusion through creative events.
Unlike conventional charity galas, Shape Me Up integrates art, fashion, and performance as instruments of awareness and empowerment — with each show curated by OKU-led teams and supported by cross-community collaborations.
This recognition marks a new chapter in ASEAN’s disability advocacy and creative industries, reinforcing Malaysia’s leadership in inclusive event management.
